Syntropia
The land we're looking for.
A home and a sanctuary, as one undertaking.
The vision
Syntropia is where Carolina and Alain will live — and what they will spend their lives restoring. Not a property to own, but a living place to host: some forty-five acres of Florida forest, water, and sky, held in trust for the wild ones and the wild places.
The design
At its heart, a hexagon house drawn by Carolina's father — a single level arranged around a central hexagon, an open garden ring, six hexagonal rooms. A smaller hexagon nearby for Carolina's mother. Room for two rescued horses. A pond, an orchard, longleaf pines coming back, and dark sky overhead.
The principles
To host, not to own. Restoration by removal — take away what's harming, and let the land remember itself. Running water, real isolation, an east-facing home site, sandhill soils.
The search
We're looking for the ground now, within reach of Ocala, Florida. When we find it, the restoration begins — and this page will document it: every planting, every returning species, every acre brought back.
The circle
Syntropia turns in one circle with the CA Foundation and Sintropía Cacao — half of every dollar of the cacao house's profit flows to the foundation's work, and the foundation is the restoration arm.
